CREATORS OF THE ON AIR DOCUMENTARY

Patty MurrayPatty Murray is Wisconsin Public Radio's reporter in Green Bay. She covers an array of stories from across Northeastern Wisconsin. Her work has been recognized by such professional organizations as the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association and the Milwaukee Press Club.

 

 

 

Glen MobergGlen Moberg serves as the morning anchor and reporter for WPR in Central and Northern Wisconsin. Glen has been with Wisconsin Public Radio for five years and is an award-winning journalist whose work has been recognized by the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association (WBA). Most recently Glen received the Award of Excellence for Best News Writing from the WBA. In addition to covering for the statewide network, Glen produces and hosts the regional Ideas Network program Route 51.

 

 

Gil HalstedGil Halsted is the Weekend Morning News anchor in Madison. He also writes and produces news stories for the daily state newscasts during the week. Gil has won awards from the Associated Press – Wisconsin, the Milwaukee Press Club and the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association.

 

 

 

Brian BullBrian Bull joined Wisconsin Public Radio in spring 2004, as assistant news director. For 15 months, he was also acting news director. Bull’s contributions to multicultural coverage helped WPR win its own UNITY Award in 2006, for stories on the Hmong community.

 

 

 

Steve Roisum Steve Roisum has worked as a reporter and anchor for WLSU/WHLA on the University of Wisconsin La Crosse since 2001. He also contributes short and longer new pieces for WPR. He grew up in West Central Minnesota.

Rick Reyer is the Central Regional Manager for Wisconsin Public Radio. Rick is a Wausau area native and has been with WPR for nearly 20 years. His role at WPR is in with community relations, staff development, corporate and individual fundraising. Rick began this project by collaborating in writing the original grant proposal with the UW-Colleges/UW-Extension Program Innovation Fund.

Sheryl Gasser,
Narrator of the “Bridging the Shores” documentary, is the Director of Talk Programming for Wisconsin Public Radio, overseeing production of WPR’s five daily talk shows on the Ideas Network. She has been with WPR since 1996, serving at times as a producer, a newscaster, and an occasional talk show host.
