REFLECTIONS OF ESCAPE
After
Laos fell to the communists in 1975, many Hmong were left behind, no
longer supported by United States military advisors or supplies.
Denounced by the communists as enemies to be “exterminated,” many Hmong
were pursued, attacked, injured, and killed by Pathet Lao forces. This
segment chronicles the harrowing stories of escape and survival from
those Hmong who managed to cross the Mekong River to the relative safety
of Thailand.
