Hmong Spirituality

Hmong Woman Holding Spiritual ObjectTraditional Hmong spirituality is a form of animism in which the shaman plays an important role by performing rituals, blessings, and soul callings. Many Hmong immigrants retain these traditional spiritual beliefs, while others have adopted Christianity. Traditional Hmong beliefs mingled with Christianity have led to new forms of faith, though friction sometimes arises between the two.
