Challenges of the New American Immigration
Panel Discussion

America is a nation built on immigration, and today, more people than ever are trying to enter the country. What challenges are posed – socially, economically, and culturally – by the changing face of the new American immigration? Is immigration a net plus, or negative, for the nation? Is it time to change America’s immigration policies?
These questions and others will be addressed by a panel comprised of two Washington D. C. Senior Policy Analysts on immigration, two local Hispanic board members of the Lincoln County Comunidad Hispana and an employer of immigrant workers from a local agricultural industry.
