IN 2005, the Pomeranian traditional dance group
formed by the Pommerscher Verein participated
in the German-American Von Steuben Parade in
Central Park, NYC; the dancers were most recently
voted first-runners up in the Maitag Trachten Contest
in New Glarus.

Members of the group are also scholars intent on
preserving low-German customs and history. They
will be joined in this interesting convergence of
dance cultures by local Hmong dancers who also
perform from the traditional Lao and Thai repertoire.

Ample opportunities for questions and mingling
will be provided after the performance.
